About Me
Hello, my name is Jim Rempp and I've been crazy about archery my entire life. I started shooting bows at a very early age. I always wanted to make bows like the Native Americans made in ancient times from materials supplied by nature. I started as a kid trying to use bamboo slats from some old blinds which was actually my first sucsess. Needless to say, I am still at it and get the same thrill now that I got then so many years ago. I love the bent stick, the flight of the arrow and sometimes hitting the bulls eye!!! I also miss the ocean - we have just moved inland & we used to stay 3 min walk from the beach - my wife & I paddle skied (surfski) - can't tell you how much i miss catching a wave, but at least now I can make bows
again & the sacrifice is worth it!
Hi Jim
For weeks I have been trying to remember where I have seen that article that's on your page and I just happened to be going through a old TB mag (jul 1998) and there it was - time flies way to fast - tell me, did you ever surf the big ones on any of those boards you made in Hawaii?
Hi Jim I met you at the MBA convention in Missoula. I am also good friends with Dan Toelke. I hope to be carrying the Plenty Coups Special" soon on my website.
It will be a Whip with black glass instead of clear. Dan said he had two glued up and Jared was sanding on them. We are having a stump shoot here in Darby april 17th. Sticks only no wheels. Your welcome to join us!!!!! would be a pleasure to have you..
Welcome Jim. Dan Toelke has heap a lot of praise about your work and knowledge as a bowyer. I still wonder how you can turn such a bent up stick into a working piece of art.
Welcome to the Forum.
For anybody that wants to know, I have seen his bows in person and they are not just bows but true works of art as well. |
